The course aims to develop, integrate and strengthen the welfare system by equipping professionals and associations working in the social and health care, social services and advocacy sectors with the tools needed to serve as Support Administrators. The initiative also responds to the Third Sector’s need for increasingly professionalized staff, combining technical expertise with a focus on relationships.

The specific objective of the training program is to prepare a social support and protection professional, as provided for by current legislation, to assist people who, due to illness or physical or mental impairments, are unable to manage their own affairs and everyday activities independently.

Upon completion of the course, participants will receive a Certificate of Attendance, provided they attend at least 80% of the classes.

OBJECTIVES

The Course aims to train professionals to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of support administration, as introduced in the Civil Code, enabling them to register on the lists available to guardianship judges in the various regions.

The primary aim of a support administrator is to protect people who are partially or wholly unable to manage their daily activities independently, by providing temporary or permanent support and ensuring flexible, personalised protection of their interests. Upon completing the course, participants may register on the LUMSA Human Academy’s List of Expert Support Administrators.
