LUMSA Human Academy – Fondazione Luigia Tincani is a non-profit Third Sector Entity (ETS) registered with the National Single Register of the Third Sector (RUNTS). It was established at the initiative of LUMSA University, based in central Rome in the Prati district, at Via Giuseppe Gioachino Belli n.86.

Mission

The Foundation aims to promote, launch, foster and support civic, charitable and socially beneficial initiatives by developing individual and group training programmes and providing dedicated, tailored services. Both are designed to support people in their post-graduate education and professional and specialist development, with particular attention to retraining those who have left the labour market. This responds to the growing demand for professional training pathways in light of ongoing developments in research and practice in these fields.

The Foundation also intends, including in collaboration with LUMSA University as its founder, to engage with its socio-economic context by carrying out activities to enhance and transfer knowledge.

Training

Design of advanced training, continuing education and funded training programs; extracurricular training programs aimed at preventing school dropout, combating educational poverty, and promoting academic and educational success; professional development and specialist training programs that are not only theoretical but also applied and practical.

Research and Development

Faculty members, researchers and professionals specialising in research and development work alongside businesses and public and private organisations to provide consultancy, carry out joint projects and apply together for funding on issues of shared and social interest. This work also aims to strengthen corporate training as a process that responds to vocational needs by promoting the value of each person.

Events and Culture

Organisation and management of cultural events, such as conferences, seminars and study days on issues of social interest, as opportunities for people, organisations and institutions to meet, connect and exchange ideas, promoting awareness and social inclusion and supporting particularly disadvantaged groups.

Projects and Services

Organisation of services aimed at helping people enter or re-enter the workforce, in accordance with current legislation on social enterprises; provision of advisory services for individuals, families and organisations to protect health and wellbeing from a bio-psycho-social perspective.
