In an era marked by rapid, interconnected change, political engagement requires much more than passion alone: it calls for strategic vision, an understanding of interdependencies and the ability to build consensus.


In response to this challenge, the Summer School was created to rediscover “political work – Motives, Timing, Decision-making”, with an advanced study programme designed to train those aspiring to play an active and informed role in public life in today’s multilevel governance contexts.


The programme is structured around four strategic objectives, designed to turn individual potential into collective impact:

  • Creating opportunities for advanced training and preparation for political engagement in a complex society.
  • Strengthen critical skills and develop the ability to understand and analyse socio-political processes.
  • Connect cultural knowledge and practical skills in negotiation and communication.
  • Promote the impact of advanced education on civil society by building bridges and connections between academia, institutions and civil society.


The training will be organised in three modules, delivered through focus groups and case studies, and introduced by talks from three distinguished keynote speakers.

    Focus group: The Present of the Future: Perspectives and Innovation;


    Module III: Decision

    Understanding focus group: Aspects of reality;

    Negotiating focus group: Interrelationships;

    Sharing focus group: Governing processes.

  • Fees and financial aid

    € 1016,00 including the virtual stamp duty of € 16,00 (refundable only if the course does not run. The virtual stamp duty will not be refunded). The amount must be paid as follows: 

    - first installment of €516.00 upon enrollment; 

    - second instalment of €500.00, due by 31/08/2026.

    Payment in full is essential for the certificate of attendance to be issued.


    DISCOUNTS:

    A 10% discount is available to LUMSA students, former students and alumni, excluding the €16.00 virtual stamp duty. To receive the discount, you must submit a self-certification confirming your status as a LUMSA student, former student or alumnus when enrolling.  


    Register by 31 May 2026 to receive a 20% discount; virtual stamp duty of €16.00 is not included.
